Double 3 Telepresence Robot
Self-Driving
An array of 3D sensors enables Double 3 to understand its environment, where it’s safe to drive, and how to divert around obstacles to reach the destination. Built-in obstacle avoidance means that completely untrained drivers can drive Double 3 without fear of bumping into walls or people. Now you can give virtual tours of your facility to new customers who have never been there before! Driving down hallways and through narrow doorways is a breeze with automatic assisted driving correction.
Unified Pan-Tilt-Zoom
Two 13 Megapixel cameras provide an ultra wide field of view and multiple levels of zoom. A new precision gearmotor enables both cameras to physically tilt up and down. An advanced software algorithm combines all of the movement into one seamless user experience — you just point to what you want to see. You can read everything — from paperwork on a desk in front of you, to the whiteboard across the room.
Click-to-Drive
We have completely re-imagined the Double 3 driving experience. Simply click anywhere on the floor in front of you, and your Double will drive there, avoiding obstacles along the way. Because Double understands where it is safe to move, you no longer need to focus on the act of driving.
Your camera view is enhanced with virtual 3D objects that highlight driveable areas, obstacles, and important places like your Charging Dock. This type of enhanced view is commonly referred to as Mixed Reality. Mixed Reality is like Augmented Reality, except virtual 3D objects are added into the live video stream, and they look and behave as if they are placed in the real world.
Six Beamforming Microphones
An advanced array of six microphones helps the driver hear people from farther away and with less background noise. The integrated audio system enables full-duplex audio (two-way simultaneous audio) to be more robust in challenging environments.
Improving Upon Double 2
Double 3 is fully integrated hardware. No iPad installation, Bluetooth pairing, or accessories are required, making setup much easier. Simply install the Double 3 Head onto the robot base with the one bolt, and it just works. Additionally, thanks to obstacle avoidance, driving is now safer, easier, and more reliable.
Developer Friendly
A Developer API enables customized applications to be built for Double. Modular subsystems allow developers to choose which features they need for their application. The tiered architecture provides hooks to sensor data and autonomous features at various levels. Various expansion ports and mounting points allow additional hardware to be added.
Forward Thinking and Backwards Compatible
Double 3 is designed with future features in mind. Over-the-air updates will enable new features over time. The Double 3 Head is also backwards compatible with the older Double 2 robot base.
Fully Integrated Hardware
Easy Setup and Configuration. The all-new Double 3 head is designed to be robust and reliable for large deployments.
Colors
User-replaceable silicone rubber trim with 5 colors available. You can choose a color that fits your style or company brand: Blue, Pink, Green, Red, or Gray
Driver Apps
Drive your Double from anywhere in the world via Mac, PC/Windows, iPad, or iPhone. Google Chrome or Firefox is required for Mac and PC. iOS 8 or newer is required for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Automatic Mapping and Path Planning
Fleet Management
Essential tools for robot admins. Scheduling, Security, and Reporting.
Robot Reservations
Now you can share your robots with people throughout your organization from a central dashboard on the web. The Calendar tool enables you and your team to reserve a robot, just like you would reserve a conference room. Everyone on your team has access to reserve the robots that they have access to. See both user-based reservations and Visitor Passes on the same calendar. All users will see a warning on their map that the robot is reserved.
User Access Control
Remotely manage access to each robot on a per-user basis. You can easily onboard new users with mass email invitations, magic email domain (everyone @yourcompany.com), and Single Sign-On (SSO). Revoke access when an employee is terminated or changes positions.
Call Logs
Ensure that audit and compliance requirements are met with the use of the Call Logs feature. Easily filter call logs by robot and driver and download logs in CSV format for further analysis. Admins can track call time, length, driver, robot, and more. Only meta data and call quality data are recorded, since video and audio are end-to-end encrypted.
Call Quality Reports
IT teams and network admins can improve call quality by analyzing detailed logs, identify poor access point hopping, determine which end of the call is causing the trouble, and more. Quality data is recorded every 10 seconds throughout the call and is available immediately for analysis.
